Ludington is a Lake Michigan Paradise that maintains a smaller community feel while providing urban conveniences. Downtown Ludington is full of interesting shops and artist galleries, including a children's museum. It also boasts many, many restaurants and watering holes. Ludington ends at the Lake with miles of sandy beaches and of course the Historic Badger Car Ferry. Stearns Park is Ludington's favorite beach with free parking, and a playground area, skate park, mini golf course and shuffle board.
As for the urban conveniences, Ludington has all of the big box stores like Walmart, Meijer, Home Depot and Lowes. As well as major restaurant chains and fast food places.
But it's not all about shopping and eating...Ludington is also great for fishing. Not only is it the top Salmon port on Lake Michigan, but it's home to very desirable Hamlin Lake, which is great for fishing in the summer or on the ice.
Ludington is also home to Spectrum Hospital. And kids can go to school at any of the Ludington Area Schools.
